Editor Choice ImageThe 2012 Brighton Marathon
will be held on Sunday 15th April with over 300 charities taking place in this year’s event. Running for a charity can not only be extremely rewarding but there are many other reasons it is a good option that you will find thoroughly fulfilling and highly motivational.
Editor Choice ImageGay Pride
Pride in Brighton & Hove has hosted a week of community events during the Winter and Summer Pride Festivals. In August the Summer Festival culminates in a Pride Parade from the seafront, through the city to a busy festival in Preston Park. The street party is one of the highlights of Pride - less frenetic than Pride Saturday..
Editor Choice ImageThe Volk's Railway
Brighton is home to the first public electric railway in the world "The Volk's Railway", which opened in 1883. The railway runs along Brighton seafront and is open to the public every year between Easter and September. There is something about Victorian eccentricity that arouses the imagination.
Editor Choice ImageBrighton Marine Palace and Pier
Brighton has two Piers, Brighton Marine Palace & Pier, Victorian pier which houses a Palace of Fun as well as refreshment outlets, a funfair and an arcade hall and the West Pier which was built in 1866. This pier has been closed since 1975 and I’m afraid to say, sadly still awaiting renovation.
